TEHRAN - A group of gunmen launched two attacks in the Iranian capital, Tehran and killed a security guard in the parliament building and wounded several others in the Ayatollah Khomeini Mausoleum. Local media reports said one gunman was still inside the mausoleum.
Based on information from Iranian lawmaker Elias Hazrati quoted by Al Jazeera on Wednesday (7/6/2017), three perpetrators, a gunman and two other AK-47 assault rifles attacked the parliament building on Wednesday, June 7. Meanwhile, Iran's national television station says, four perpetrators involved shootings in the parliament building that injured at least eight people.
The ISNA news agency quoted Iranian lawmakers as reporting that the entire door of the parliament building had been closed and a perpetrator had been surrounded by security forces. Until this news is revealed, the identity and motives of the perpetrators are still unknown.
