Paris - police have paralyzed a young man who wants to launch a terror attack in front of Notre Dame Cathedral. The young man had a chance to attack a member of the police while saying the action is dedicated to Syria.
"This is for Syria!" Said French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb, imitating the young man's words, quoting from NBC News on Wednesday (7/6/2017). During the crippling police unpredictable attackers, hundreds of Notre Dame visitors are trapped inside the building.
Based on his identity card, the young man was known to be a student from Algeria. Gerard Collomb said, the young man was carrying a kitchen knife and hammer in the experiment of the attack. The relevant authorities now impose the case as a terror attack.
"We've changed the view that terror attacks can be done with any object, not just sophisticated tools. The officer who was hit by the attack was not seriously injured. While the young man we ran to the nearest hospital, "said Collomb.
Seeing the plan of the attack, Collomb said the French Authority will hold a special meeting to evaluate the state of emergency as well as other anti-terrorism measures. As is known, France is still in an emergency after a series of terror attacks since 2015.
