DOHA - Qatar Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said he was confused by the attitude of US President Donald Trump about the conflict between Doha and Gulf states. Trump agreed with Saudi Arabia Cs, about their decision to isolate Qatar.
Not only that, Trump also said Qatar is one of the countries supporting terrorism. Trump mentioned that he knew after talks with some Gulf state leaders.
Sheikh Mohammed said it was very strange for Trump to make such a conclusion simply because he listened to the views of other countries claiming that Qatar supported terrorism.
"It's strange that Trump's statement is based on the views of presidents of countries that take a political stand against Qatar," said Sheikh Mohammed, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Sunday (11/6).
He also stressed that his side has spent much effort, as well as funds to combat terrorism, and has cooperated with the US government and other Qatari partner countries in the fight against terrorism.
