The plane carrying 122 people consisting of 108 passengers and 14 crew. Passengers consisted of Myanmar soldiers and their families, with details of 58 adult civilians, 15 children and 35 soldiers.

Myanmar military authorities on Thursday announced at least 10 bodies of victims, including 5 children's bodies, have been successfully evacuated from the Andaman Sea. While local police sources said there were 20 bodies of victims who were in the process of evacuation.

As reported by AFP on Thursday (8/6/2017), hundreds of local residents, families of victims and volunteers of local NGOs waiting on the beach San Hlan in the rain that flushed. One of Myanmar's military officials said that the existence of a large ocean wave makes it difficult to pull over to shore, so that the body of the victim is evacuated by air.
