Kehidupan awal Ibnu Sina lahir 980 masehi di Afsana, sebuah desa dekat Bukhara (sekarang dikenal dengan Uzbekistan), ibukota Samaniyah, sebuah dinasti Persia di Central Asia dan Greater Khorasan.
