Qatar has begun to break through restrictions on sea ties by its neighbors by using ports in Oman.
The first cargo ship has arrived in Qatar from the port city of Sohar in Oman.
Qatar's port authorities also announced two new services directly from Hamad port to two ports in Oman, Salalah and Sohar, to avoid the need for port services in neighboring United Arab Emirates, as so far.
The new marine travel services will be done three times a week each.
And used cargo ships will be smaller in order to directly reach the capital city of Doha.
Several Middle Eastern countries - among others Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt - broke ties with Qatar as it was supposed to support militant groups.
The Doha government strongly denies the allegations.
Qatar-Saudi land border post is now empty.
As one of the world's natural gas producers and exporters, Qatar is highly dependent on food sources and imported raw materials.
Analysts estimate about 40% of the food supply is imported through Saudi Arabia, the only country with a land border with Qatar.
The border intake by Saudi Arabia threatens food supplies and raw materials for the completion of the $ 200 billion development project needed for the 2022 World Cup.
But Qatar is slowly working to overcome the blockade it faces and Iran - who is a rival of Saudi Arabia - announced it was flying five aircraft carrying various products to Qatar.
Turkey is also expected to play an important role in supplying food to Qatar.
